When you register an envelope through our app, we collect your name, email address, phone number, street address, and Montclair ward. We also collect photos of your decorated envelope that you choose to upload.

How we use it

Your contact information is used solely to connect your registered envelope with you as part of the Montclair Community Time Capsule archive. It will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Photos and images you submit, along with your name and likeness, may be used for archival, exhibition, promotional, and project-related purposes in accordance with the Photography, Video & Likeness Release you agreed to at registration.

Data security

Your information is stored securely. We take reasonable steps to protect it, but no system is completely secure.

Your rights

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, contact us at support@thetravelingdiarytour.com.

Please note that submitted envelopes and materials will be sealed and buried in November 2026. After that date, physical retrieval of contributed items will not be possible.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
